GivingTuesday 2026: December 1

GivingTuesday 2026: Help Alaskans Access Justice

GivingTuesday is coming up on December 1, and we’re inviting you to join us in making a difference for Alaskans! Every day, individuals and families face legal challenges that threaten their housing, safety, health and financial stability. With your support, ALSC helps ensure that Alaskans have access to the free civil legal aid they need.

Our GivingTuesday Goal: $20,000
This year, we’re setting a goal of raising $20,000 on GivingTuesday. Every gift, no matter the size, will help ALSC continue providing critical legal assistance to Alaskans across the state.

Your Support is Justice in Action
For “Margaret” and “John,” a senior couple facing physical and financial abuse from family members, access to legal assistance meant the difference between living in fear and feeling safe in their own home. The couple had endured abuse from their daughter and son-in-law, who refused to leave their property. When the situation escalated into a physical altercation, their safety and ability to remain in their home were at risk.

Margaret turned to ALSC for help. An ALSC advocate quickly took action, filing legal notices and representing her in court. Margaret won the case and regained control of her home, with law enforcement helping remove the family members from the property.

Today, Margaret and John can safely live in their home, with the stability and peace of mind they deserve.

Stories like this are why your support matters. Your generosity helps Alaskans facing difficult legal challenges find the safety, stability and a path forward.
