Jammin’ for Justice is an annual celebration and benefit concert hosted by Alaska Legal Services Corporation
Over the years this event has evolved into a significant tradition to raise funds to support the vital cause of access to justice for all Alaskans, with each edition featuring local bands and remarkable moments.
ALSC’s 50th anniversary celebration in 2017 marked a milestone, amplifying the event’s meaning and raising over $54K to bolster ALSC’s services in Alaska. Years that followed continued the tradition, showcasing diverse musical talents like Yachtly Crew and H3 Hawaiian Reggae. The 2021 edition adapted to virtual platforms during COVID-19 while maintaining the spirit of Jammin’ for Justice while featuring local artists Medium Build, Photonak, and Sideways. In 2022, H3 Hawaiian Reggae returned to headline the event at the Cuddy Family Midtown Park amphitheater, accompanied by a generous $100K matching donation from the Benito & Frances C. Gaguine Foundation. The momentum continued into the 10th annual Jammin’ for Justice in 2023, featuring the Jangle Bees and hosted by Hank Van Dickerson, again with a special $100K matching donation from the Benito & Frances C. Gaguine Foundation doubling the impact of ticket sales and donations.
The annual Jammin’ for Justice is supported by sponsors and the community and remains a fundamental fundraising event in ALSC’s pursuit of justice in Alaska. Contact Laura Goss at lgoss@alsc-law.org for upcoming Jammin’ for Justice event information and sponsorship opportunities.
