ALSC is happy to recognize Clint Campion as our June Volunteer of the Month! Clint passionately volunteers his time at ALSC by helping veterans with their unique civil legal needs at the monthly veterans legal clinic. He also makes a huge difference for our clients by enthusiastically taking on full pro bono cases so Alaskans can effectively navigate their civil legal issues. Read on for our interview with Clint:
Why did you choose to volunteer with ALSC?
I spent nearly two decades in public service, first as an Army Judge Advocate and then as a prosecutor. I wanted to continue to serve as I transitioned to private practice and ALSC has provided me with interesting and rewarding volunteer opportunities.
What are some of your experiences at ALSC that have made a positive difference in the lives of others and/or the community?
I have enjoyed meeting and helping veterans who need legal advice as well as someone to listen to them and support them.
How do you think your experiences with ALSC will benefit you in the future?
I have learned new areas of the law through my volunteer experiences with ALSC.
Anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
Alaska is a wonderful place to practice law and I feel fortunate and blessed by the opportunities I have had here as an attorney and a resident. I would not want to live anywhere else.
