On Friday January 22, 2021 President Biden signed an executive order for several changes to food security benefits including;

– extending the 15% PEBT benefits increase recently approved by Congress in the stimulus bill,

– allowing states to increase emergency SNAP allotments for the lowest-income residents, and

– Asking the USDA to update the 15 year old formula it uses to calculate SNAP benefit amounts.
