The Biden Administration has extended the CDC Eviction Moratorium for non-payment of rent through March 31, 2021. To qualify for protection, a tenant provide a CDC Declaration to their landlord (link here), certifying that: – They have used best efforts to obtain government assistance for rent or housing; – They meet income requirements; – They are unable to pay full rent / make payments due to substantial loss of income or extraordinary medical expenses; – They are making best efforts to make partial payments; and if evicted, they would likely become homeless, or move into a residence shared with others because there are no other housing options.
