Alaska Legal Services Corporation is recruiting for an experienced attorney to lead ALSC’s Mat-Su Valley and Kenai Peninsula law offices. This Supervising Attorney is responsible for the supervision of attorney and support staff, caseload management and review, maintaining a general caseload including litigation before courts and administrative agencies, and overseeing the administrative functions of the Mat-Su Valley and Kenai Peninsula offices. This position also has responsibility for the preparation of grant applications and reports, serving as an agency representative in the community, including conducting community legal education, and occasional travel within these regions for client intake and services.
Required: Minimum of three years legal experience. Applicants must be admitted to practice law in Alaska or admitted to practice in another state and be eligible for an Alaska Bar Rule 43 waiver. Computer proficiency (Windows operating system, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Internet, e-mail and data entry).
Highly Desired: Management experience; a demonstrated commitment to serving low-income individuals; and a background working in cross-cultural situations.
Salary $78,584-$117,870 DOE. Generous benefits and leave package provided, including partial reimbursement of relocation expenses. Personal leave begins at six weeks per year for a full-time employee. ALSC observes 15 paid holidays.
