For twenty-five years, ALSC’s pro bono program has assisted hundreds of low-income Alaskans with their legal problems through a statewide network of volunteer attorneys and other professionals.
The program does not accept direct requests for legal assistance. In order to qualify for services, clients must meet ALSC financial eligibility and case criteria guidelines. The nearest ALSC office will make this determination.
Services offered to ALSC eligible clients are:

A one-time free consultation with a pro bono attorney
Other ways to get involve include:
- Legal Clinics
- Research and development of educational material
- Content for AlaskaLawHelp.org and AlaskaAdvocates.org
- Mentorship program
The legal clinics are offered to the general public, regardless of ALSC eligibility. Please refer to our clinic schedule for more information.
Please note that our policies prevent us from assisting someone who has a conflict of interest with ALSC. We cannot use any funds for any activity prohibited by the Legal Services Corporation Act or by Section 504 of Public Law 104-134.
