STAFF ATTORNEY Alaska Legal Services Corporation has an opening for a full-time staff attorney in Fairbanks, funded in part with grants through the Department of Justice Office on Violence Against Women. The attorney will provide legal representation to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault in various civil proceedings in the Interior and in the North Slope Borough. The attorney will work under the supervision of ALSC’s Fairbanks Supervising Attorney, and will work closely with the staff of the North Slope Borough shelter, with VAWA attorneys in other ALSC offices, and with the staff of the Alaska Network on Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault's Legal Advocacy Project. Entry-level applicants are encouraged to apply. Applicants must be admitted to practice law in Alaska or admitted to practice in another state and eligible for an Alaska Bar Rule 43 waiver. Computer proficiency required (Windows operating system, Microsoft Office, Internet, e-mail, and data entry). Salary $31,522.40 – $59,677.80 per year DOE.
