Staff Attorney

Alaska Legal Services Corporation has an opening for a full-time attorney in Bethel, funded through a Department of Justice Violence Against Women Act grant. The staff attorney will provide legal representation to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault in various civil proceedings in the Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta area. The attorney will work under the supervision of ALSC’s Bethel Supervising Attorney, and will work closely with the staff of the local shelter, with VAWA attorneys in other ALSC offices, and with the staff of the Alaska Network on Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault's Legal Advocacy Project.

Two to three years experience, and experience working with victims of domestic violence/sexual assault, preferred but not required. Computer proficiency required (Windows operating system, Microsoft Office, Internet, e-mail, and data entry).

Salary $39,384.80 — $65,301.60 per year DOE. Generous personal leave and benefits package, including partial reimbursement of relocation expenses, provided.
